Buying & Ownership FAQ

Buying & ownership

Are the photographs of the exact work I will receive?

Unless a listing expressly identifies an exact individual piece, photography represents the collection’s intended form, proportions, timber character and finish. Natural grain, colour, figure, markings and minor dimensions vary between handcrafted works. No two alike.

What is a Certificate of Provenance?

Eligible works include a Certificate of Provenance documenting the identity of the individual work and the information recorded for it, including its collection, timber and numbering where applicable. Certificate details are completed in the dedicated purchase flow rather than on each product page.

Can I purchase more than one work?

Yes. Where multiple eligible works are purchased, the certificate flow records the appropriate provenance details for each cart line separately.

How does Australian delivery work?

We currently ship within Australia only. Standard delivery is $50 AUD for orders under $500 AUD. Standard delivery is complimentary on orders of $500 AUD or more. Oversized or special-handling works may require a separately confirmed freight service.

Are the works individually numbered?

Where a collection is released as a numbered edition or allocation, the applicable number is recorded against the individual work and its provenance documentation. We do not use artificial stock counters; availability and edition language reflect the actual collection structure.

Why does the timber vary?

Australian hardwood is a natural material. Grain, figure, tone and markings are part of the identity of each work rather than defects or inconsistencies. The defining design language of a collection remains consistent while the material expression is individual.

How should I care for my work?

Follow the care guidance supplied for the timber and finish of your individual work. Keep the surface clean and dry, avoid prolonged moisture and uncontrolled heat, and confirm compatibility before sanding, refinishing or applying another treatment.

Can I ask about a work before purchasing?

Yes. Use the Contact page and include the product name or SKU where known. We can help with product details, delivery questions, care guidance and exact-piece information where it is available.

Where are Provenance works made?

Provenance works are handcrafted in regional Victoria and finished in Melbourne, backed by 30+ years of Australian hardwood craftsmanship.
