Terms of service

These Terms govern your use of the Provenance Board Co. online store and your purchase of products from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and any product-specific terms displayed at checkout.

About our works

Provenance Board Co. creates individually handcrafted and numbered works from natural Australian hardwood. Each work is unique. Product photography may represent the form, proportions and timber character of a collection rather than the exact grain pattern of the individual work supplied. Natural variation in grain, figure, colour, markings and exact dimensions is expected and forms part of the character of the work.

Eligibility and acceptable use

You must provide accurate information and use the store only for lawful purposes. You must not interfere with the operation or security of the site, misuse its content, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code or use the site in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

Product information

We take reasonable care to describe our products accurately. Screen settings, photography and lighting may affect displayed colour. Measurements described as approximate or nominal may vary. If exact-piece information is provided for a numbered work, that information takes precedence over general collection information.

Orders

An order is an offer to purchase. We may accept or decline an order, including where a work is unavailable, information is incorrect, a pricing or technical error has occurred, payment cannot be authorised or delivery is not reasonably available. A binding sale is formed when we accept the order and confirm it for fulfilment.

Individually numbered works are subject to availability. If two customers attempt to purchase the same individual work, we may cancel and refund the later order.

Prices and payment

Prices are displayed in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise. Taxes and delivery charges are shown where applicable. Promotional and compare-at pricing applies only for the stated period or while the applicable allocation remains available. Payment must be authorised before fulfilment.

Delivery

Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy. Dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed. We are not responsible for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, but this does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Care and use

Customers must follow care, cleaning, storage and use guidance supplied with the work. Timber is a natural material and may respond to moisture, heat, sunlight, rapid temperature change and prolonged contact with liquids. Products must not be used for a purpose that is unsafe or inconsistent with supplied instructions.

Intellectual property

The site, brand, photography, designs, copy, graphics, medallions, certificates and other content are owned by or licensed to Provenance Board Co. They may not be copied, reproduced, modified or commercially exploited without written permission, except as permitted by law.

Third-party services and links

The store may use or link to third-party payment, delivery, analytics, social or technology services. Their separate terms and privacy practices may apply. A link does not constitute endorsement of unrelated third-party content.

Consumer guarantees and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies the Australian Consumer Law or any other right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Any limitation is subject to mandatory consumer rights.

Changes

We may update these Terms by publishing an updated version. The Terms applying to an order are those available when the order is placed, unless a change is required by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Courts with jurisdiction in Victoria and any courts hearing appeals from them may hear disputes, subject to any consumer right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
