Questions

Before it comes home

How many people does The Archive serve?

As a guide, The Archive (700 × 400mm) holds a grazing spread for about 8–10 people — cheese, cured meats, seafood, fruit or bread.

Is a mixed-grain hardwood board safe for serving food?

Yes. The Archive is solid mixed hardwood, Australian timbers with American Oak, hand-oiled with a food-safe finish, made for bringing any food to the table.

What is the Certificate of Provenance?

Every piece ships with its own printed Certificate of Provenance: the timber species, where it was grown, the board's unique Board No. and the Maker's finishing notes. No two are alike, and the certificate proves it.

How do I care for The Archive?

Hand wash only and dry completely. After every use, oil it with Board Care Oil, then seal it with Board Care Balm: always oil first, then balm. Never soak, dishwash or leave in direct sun. A light sand and re-oil refreshes it for the next generation.

Can it be displayed when it's not in use?

Yes. Between gatherings it stands on display as a piece in its own right — each one is one of one.
